Tom Hughes' very detailed and
informative post
motivated me to try jigging at the mouth of the Choptank Sunday morning
(5/21). A friend and I caught 7 rockfish in about an hour--all caught
while vertically jigging (6 on 5" albino saltwater assassins with red
1/4 oz jigheads and 1 on a dropper fly rigged above a 4" metal jig that was dead sticking). We kept four between 20" and 30". We watched a few
other boats trolling in the general vicinity without any apparent
success.
