CBBT Trips 11/14 & 11/15, 2006

Yesterday's fishing was even better than Tuesday, as good as it was. It's not often that I get to fish with my son Scott who drove all the way down from Lake Luzerne, NY (9 hrs). My a$$ was dragging yesterday as we ended our day at 4:00 PM to allow time to clean our catch back at the dock. Because we anticipated bad weather for today, we decided to keep a few fish yesterday for table fare. I have NEVER had the opportunity to limit out with our five fish limit the first ten minutes of fishing. Probably would have filled our limit faster except we had to cull several fish that were larger than the slot.  My arms, wrists and hands ached. But Ooooh it hurt so good!!!!!!  Yesterday the average fish size that we caught was probably just under 30". Scott had a goal to catch a 30" Striper and he accomplished that several times. As usual, the food at Sting Ray's was excellent and ample.

Tom: As usual, Thank you for making the quality time that we spent together so memorable. I have had some very exceptional and memorable fishing trips during my lifetime and this one tops the lifetime list for me as well as Scott. Suggestion - Get a larger rubber net to make netting those hogs easier. Both Scott and I really felt bad that you could hardly fish because you were kept so busy netting large fish and handling the boat.

Sorry to say that today's storms chased all of the fish out.

Tight lines,
John
